John serves as Chief Underwriting Officer in the Center for Strategic, Profitable, and Innovative Underwriting (CSPIU) at the Home Office.
He was named to the position in 2020, having previously been Director of Underwriting Operations. John joined Utica National in 2008 as a trainee, was named a Vice President of the company in 2019, and named Senior Vice President in 2022.
He earned an MBA and Master’s Degree from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. He holds the Associate in Insurance Services (AIS), Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU), Associate in Reinsurance (ARe), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Claims (AIC) professional designations.
John currently serves on the Board of Directors for the United Way of the Mohawk Valley, and Empowered Pathways.
