The Utica National Kids’ Run is held every July the day before the world-renowned Boilermaker Road Race in Utica, New York.
Registration is free for up to 1,800 kids age four to 12 each year. Tens of thousands of children and their families have participated in the event over the years.
All participants receive a t-shirt, a small gift, and refreshments after their event.
The Utica National Kids’ Run operates through a volunteer force that handles everything from operations management to registration and clean up. Volunteers are largely made up of Utica National employees, retirees, family members, and friends.
The Utica National Group Foundation has been the title sponsor of the event since its inception in 1989.
