The Utica National Group Foundation was founded in 1987 in advance of the company’s 75th anniversary. Since then the foundation has made a positive difference in the communities where we do business, regardless of the economic climate. Since the inception of the Foundation, through May, 31, 2020, a total of $7,779,641 in grants have been awarded.
As part of the company’s 100th anniversary celebration, the foundation announced a $1million gift to The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties to be used to address root cause issues that will promote the betterment of families and support a stronger, more cohesive family unit. That same year, the foundation also bestowed grants, based on employee input, to other organizations in the regions where the company has offices.
The foundation has also been the title sponsor of the Utica National Kids’ Run since its inception in 1989. This event promotes the importance of health and exercise and is held every July in conjunction with the world-renowned Boilermaker Road Race in Utica, New York.
Through this involvement, the company and foundation are committed to making positive contributions to the cities and towns where our employees work and live.
